Students will learn to use different tools and types of technology while gaining knowledge about safe routes to school, the importance of healthy lifestyles, and the impact of their carbon footprint on the environment. This multifaceted initiative will reach out to students of various ages on multiple levels. This project takes advantage of the idea that teaching is most effective when done from different perspectives and while using mixed media.

A link on the right will take you to the interactive map of the project.

Upon completion of a field survey, this application can show you the results in a user friendly way. You will be able to access information on anything from where your children will have a sidewalk to walk on to well designated crosswalks and well timed crossing signals. This site is a demonstration of how community mapping can be utilized for safety measures, planning improvements, and community involvement.

We’ll be updating the site regularly so check back with us soon to see the dates of our upcoming projects!
